Melinda Traci Wohlford, 34, of Wytheville, passed away suddenly Saturday, January 27, 2024. Born February 20, 1989, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of Carl Wohlford and Kay Sizemore.  Melinda loved to be outdoors. She loved to go to the river and look for fossils and arrowheads. Melinda loved animals, especially her cats. She would light up the room when she came in and would always leave her family and friends laughing. Melinda was employed by New River Valley Regional Jail where she was a guard. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Steve and Virgie Sizemore, and paternal grandparents Clyde and Lillian Wohlford. Those left to cherish her memory in addition to her Mother and Father, Sister Christina Cotten and fiancée Jason Meadows. 2 Nieces Kasey Cotten (DayDay Peavy), Kelsey (Chase Carty). Life Partner Dani Umberger, 3 Great Nephews Jackson Carty, Jayce Carty, Cayson Peavy, Great Niece Mari Peavy. Special Uncle Ricky Wohlford. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Burial will follow at the Mitchem Ridge Cemetery on Burke Mountain. Friends may visit with the family from 10 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
