Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Snow, 82, formerly a resident of Carl Wade Road, in Princeton was called home to the Lord on the evening of August 22, 2024. Mary was born June 13th, 1942, as a daughter of the late James Lee Keffer and late Mamie Margaret Keffer of Princeton, West Virginia. Mary was educated in Mercer County as she attended Princeton High School as part of the Tiger's Class of 1960. As her life continued, she became a co-owner/operator of Quality Home Improvements which was established in 1968 by her late husband for 30 plus years before the business was passed down to their youngest son in 2007. Mary was also a member of the Princeton Elks Lodge and Mercer County Moose Lodge several years back. Before the death of her late husband and being diagnosed with her illnesses, she attended Rock Camp Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe County. Mary was an outgoing woman all her life and enjoyed going to Flea Markets and Yard Sales every weekend, no matter if it was rain or sunshine. Mary had a personality that you could never get enough of with her spunky and feisty attitude, along with a laugh that could brighten anyone's day that was around her. After many years now, Mary, who was the last living child out of the 9 Keffer siblings is now reunited with both her parents and all her brothers and sisters with many other loved ones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her six brothers, Charles, Roy, Ralph, Eugene, Billy, and Donald Keffer along with her two sisters Vinia Hill and Barbara White. She is also united once again after 13 years with her devoted husband of 40 years, the late Andrew Lee Snow Jr, along with their two fury Golden Retrievers Max and Merit. Other passed loved ones include son Harry Lee Bailey, Granddaughter Miranda Sue Whittaker, Grandson Kevin Dean Lester, many brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, and a Son-In-Law whom she considered just like her very own son, Robert Asbury. However, Mary leaves behind five children, daughter Connie Lester and husband Eddie, daughter Kathy Asbury, son Andrew Lee Snow III and wife Kimberly all of Princeton, WV, and son Eugene Lee "Gene" Snow and wife Jeanette of Richmond, VA. Mary will also leave behind the ones she adored the most in life, who always referred to her as "Granny" as she was the grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Outside of her own created legacy, she is survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her as well. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mary Snow will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, August 29, 2024, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
