Mary Elizabeth Belcher, 78, of Princeton, died peacefully Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born November 28, 1945, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Walters and Mandy Saunders Walters. Mary was educated in Princeton and was a lifelong resident. She was devoted to her family, enjoyed farming and sewing. She was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Princeton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings: James Walters and Martha Swimm. Those left to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 62 years, J.R. Belcher; Her son, Tim Belcher and wife Linda; Granddaughter, Rachel Jo Belcher and husband Cody Weese; Two step-grandchildren, Mika Lambert and husband Jon, and  Moleigh Bargo and companion Robert; Brother, Billy Walters and wife Barbara; Three very special nieces, Barbara Ingram, Janet King and Jennifer Daniely; Her four-legged friend Spike. Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Beverly Baker officiating. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday (today) from 5:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
