Marvin Basil Steele, 76, of Sandlick Road, Bluefield, was welcomed to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 with his family by his side.

Born January 23, 1950, at Burke Mountain, Northfork, he was the son of the late Ward Steele and Dollres Tedder Steele. Marvin loved the Lord, his family and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a loving husband, son, father grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

He retired from Platnick Steel in Bluefield, VA, where worked as a welder and crane operator and has a hobby enjoyed woodworking and wood refinishing. Marvin loved his family and being a papaw to his granddaughter. He loved being a "papaw" for all the children that Judy babysitted.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Eric Scott Steele and his four siblings, Hazel Blankenship, Bertha Glass, Ruth Davis and Stella Griffith.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Judy Dale Kahle Steele; One daughter, Melissa Joy Steele; One granddaughter, Erica London Hartwell; Several nieces, nephews and his church family also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Marvin Steele will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 8, 2026, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Jim Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
