Marvin "Pete" Carter, 86, of Princeton, died peacefully Friday, June 30, 2023, at Stonerise, (Glenwood Park). Following a long illness. Born August 20, 1936, at Bartley. Pete worked for G. C. Murphy's in Princeton for a short period of time. Then he devoted his life to the First Christian Church on Straley Avenue, in Princeton. He was a faithful and dedicated member and served as the custodian for many, many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Linda Smith Carter, along with two sons: Andrew Joe Carter and Brian Marvin Carter. Funeral services will be held at 11;00 A.M., Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at First Christian Church, on Straley Avenue, in Princeton, with Pastor Steve Janning officiating.  Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour. Friends will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com .
