Mark Eugene Massie, Jr., 41, of Hendersonville, NC, formerly of Princeton, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023. Born July 4, 1981, in Princeton, WV, he was the son of Mark Eugene Massie, Sr. and Lisa Diane Shrader Massie. Mark was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed art, especially drawing and origami, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He had worked as a tree trimmer prior to being employed at a grocery store in the dairy department. Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clara Dale Shrader, Arthur Howard Shrader, and Kenneth Massie. In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Jessie Posey; sister, Tiffany Justice; half-brother, Christopher Massie; nieces, Mackenzie Meetz and Christina Massie; nephew, Samuel Meetz; step mother, Dianne Massie and loving grandmother, Norma Jean Massie. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton, WV with Pastor Myron Tilley officiating.
