Obituary

In the early morning hours of September 15, 2024, Margaret Ann Clemson realized a long awaited yearning to see Jesus and to reunite with Baynard, her husband of 67 years, who preceded her in death. She was born in Princeton, WV, where she lived for most of her life. She was a devoted wife to her husband and a loving mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her love of family was only surpassed by her love of God.

Margaret attended Johnston Chapel Church faithfully until heath issues no longer made that possible. She truly loved all of her church friends and neighbors in Princeton as well as those at Everlan of Johnson City, TN, where she resided since February 2023. Despite a short stay in Tennessee, she was always a proud Mountaineer, longing for Country Roads to Take Her Home.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Hubert Bailey, mother, Anna Mae Bailey, and brother Carl A. Bailey. Margaret leaves behind two sons, William Clemson (Tammy), James Clemson and brother Steven Bailey (Karen). Also remaining are five grandchildren Matthew Clemson (Lauren), Nathan Clemson (Elizabeth), Hannah Madill (Jonathan), Stacey Clemson, and Sarah Romanoski (Scott), and Ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Margaret Clemson will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 21, 2024, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Dan Thyng officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
