Margaret Ann Barrett Musick entered her heavenly home surrounded by her family on October 12, 2023. Margaret was born December 7,1924 in Princeton WV to George and Maggie McGee. She lived an extraordinary life which included her devout dedication to her church and family. Throughout her years, she served in many roles at her beloved church, The First Church of God in Princeton where she was most gratified with her work involving the youth. Margaret was responsible for raising the funds and taking the church's youth groups to large conventions all over the U.S. She served on the Board of Trustees, as the choir director, and led countless committees over the years. Margaret participated in her church not only on a local level but also the state level, which included holding officer positions in the "Women of Church of God for West Virginia". Margaret led and volunteered for a variety of civic clubs as well. These included serving as an officer for the WV Federation of Women's Club, volunteering with the Salvation Army, serving as a leader for the local high school civic organization, Suwans, and organizing the induction of the Red Hat Society in Princeton. Her life was filled with volunteer work that included other organizations too numerous to mention. Margaret retired from both Rockwell International and Bland Correctional Center where she served as the kitchen supervisor. She was most known for her Catering Business. Her business was always in high demand for the stunning wedding cakes, beautiful receptions, parties, and catered dinners. Her incredible homemade Christmas and Easter candy is something that she will always be remembered for! Margaret was always the "ultimate host"! Her love for cooking and baking led many friends into her home which she entertained with luncheons, afternoon teas, and dinner parties. Margaret's love of travel led her to destinations all over the world! She traveled to many places as a member of the Silver Saints and also loved traveling with her family. Margaret was a devoted mom and an amazing "mawmaw". She is leaving behind a legacy of memories and love! Margaret was proceeded in death by B. H. Barrett, husband of 37 years and father of her children, Leon Musick, her husband of 27 years, her son, Bert Barrett, and son-in-law Sam Harry. Margaret is survived by her sons, Terry Barrett and Ed Barrett, daughter Deb Harry, daughter Susan and son-in-law Jim Faulkner and daughter-in-law Diane Barrett. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she adored includes granddaughter, Angie Rogers, granddaughter, Bridgette, her husband Brad, and great grandchildren Hannah and Truett Leavitt. Her grandson Todd, his wife Cindy, and great grandchildren, Caleb, Anna, and Isaiah Faulkner. Her granddaughter Jennifer and husband Tanner Cline. Her grandson, Nathan, his wife, Stephani, and great grandchildren Elias, and Noah Harry. Her grandson Jared, his wife, Lauren, and great grandchildren Beckham, and Rory Harry. Margaret's viewing and funeral will be held at the First Church of God, 301 Mahood Avenue in Princeton on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Viewing will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be held at Roselawn Cemetery immediately following the service. Officiating the services will be her grandsons, Reverend Todd Faulkner, and Reverend Tanner Cline. Pallbearers will be Ed Barrett, Nathan Harry, Jared Harry, Jim Harry, Mark Wills, and Mike Keaton. Flowers or condolences may be sent to the First Church of God, 301 Mahood Avenue, Princeton WV. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com . The Musick family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on Athens Road in Princeton, West Virginia.
