Lucas Konrad Atkinsmith, 24, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Born on August 15, 1998, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Lucas was the son of Deano Ray Smith originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and Ella Marie Atkins originally from Union, West Virginia. Lucas was a brilliant jazz and classical violinist whose passion for music, love of sound, and ability to improvise were unparalleled. He brought great joy to those who heard him play, especially his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mason Otis Atkins and Eloise Neely Atkins, from Union, West Virginia. Survivors include both parents and two brothers, Stuart Atkinsmith of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Alan Atkinsmith, of Morgantown, West Virginia. A graveside funeral service and burial will be held 12:00 noon on Monday October 10, 2022 at the Ellison Cemetery in Pipestem, WV. Those attending the service are requested to meet at the cemetery. A celebration of Lucas' life will be held later in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com or to https://obits.mlive.com/obituaries/annarbor/ .
