Lorraine Elizabeth Hungate, 81, of Parkview Terrace, Lerona, went to be with the Lord the morning of April 22 nd , at Princeton Community Hospital after a courageous battle with multiple illnesses. Lorraine was born March 24 th , 1942, in Layland, WV. She grew up with a large loving family and was 1 of 10 children. Lorraine Elizabeth was a meticulous homemaker who devoted her life to her beloved husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her flowers and was never idle, and who always enjoyed working around the house and helping her children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several siblings. Those left to carry on her memory are her husband of 56 years, Dale Hungate; Her children, Lisa (Darren) Weeks, Tina Hall, Elizabeth (Poohy) Phillips,; Grandchildren, Justin (Tina) Hall, Brittany (Ty Hoston) Weeks, Katelin (Matt) Smith, Mason (Bryanna) Hall, Cheyenne Phillips and William Phillips; Great-grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Brennon Hoston and Sophia Hall; Siblings, Lige (Joanne) Bragg, Willard Bragg, Gay Quesenberry and Eudora (Pat) Hambrick; Several loving nieces and nephews; Special mention of Bryanna Hall for her love and care of Lorraine in her final days. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Lorraine Elizabeth Hungate will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton, with Pastor Tim Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Athens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to: St. Lukes Childrens Hospital, 206 Central Avenue, Summerville, SC 29483, which was an organization dear to her heart. Serving as pallbearers will be, Pat Hambrick, Eddie Quesenberry, Justin Hall, Mason Hall, Darren Weeks, Poohy Phillips and William Phillips.
