Obituary

Loma Reed Adkins, 87, of Bud, died Friday, August 28, 2026, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born December 28, 1938, in Egeria, she was the daughter of the late Ola & Glacie Reed. Loma was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & great-great-grandmother. While her health allowed, she enjoyed spending time in her garden, caring for her flowers, sitting on her front porch petting her cat, going on weekly trips to Walmart, and above all spending time with her family.  She was of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Glen Adkins, a daughter Linda Jones, a grandchild Joseph “Bubba” Lester, a grand-daughter Virginia Jones, daughter-in-law Debbie Adkins & son-in-law David Jones, along with 5 siblings, Doug, Floyd, Roger, & Ray Reed, & Shirley Rash. Those left to cherish her memory, 6 children and spouses, Junior and Cynthia Adkins, David Adkins, Doris Adkins, Randal & Sharon Adkins, Sherry & Billy Beggs, & Donnie & Tara Adkins, 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, & 24 great-great-grandchildren. Five siblings, Denny & Judy Reed, James & Ann Reed, Eva McClure, Susie Reed, Kathy & Ray Walls along with a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 4, 2026, 10:00am in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Lewis Arnold officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
