Linda Gail Peyton, 73, of Lashmeet, died peacefully Sunday morning, December 21, 2025, at her home. Born April 26, 1952, at Leckie, she was the daughter of the late Luther Marrs and Lola Pettus Marrs.

After finishing high school and college, Linda taught school for a number of years. While her health was good, she enjoyed sewing, canning, baking, crocheting, and working in her garden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Dallas V. Peyton Sr., along with four siblings, Luther Marrs Jr., Jerry Marrs, Jack Marrs & Elbert Marrs.

Those left to cherish her memory, her children, Dallas V. Peyton Jr. (Cindy), Heather Rebecca Mullins (Cameron), John Alden Peyton (Monica) & Haelee Thompson, 6 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. Two siblings, Billie Robertson & Sherry Marrs, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Her wishes have been honored, she had been cremated and a memorial service will be held Friday January 9, 2026 at 2 P.M. at Cooks Chapel Baptist Church in Pipestem with Pastor Dallas Peyton Jr. officiating.
