Linda Mae Cooper Pendry

Princeton, WV

Linda Mae Cooper Pendry, 82, of Pendry Lane, Princeton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at her residence with her family by her side.

Born on February 18, 1944, in Skin Fork, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. Cooper and Edna Mae Cook Cooper.

After Linda graduated from Pineville High School, she became a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Linda dearly loved her family, her church family at Pisgah Community Church, and had a strong love and devotion for the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, Sherald Gene Pendry; daughter, Sheri Lyn Pendry; siblings, Kenneth Cooper, Benny Ray Cooper, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Cooper.

Linda is survived by her loving children, Kevin Pendry and Amy Pendry Goode and husband, Jack; her beloved grandchildren, Sydney Radford (husband, Jacob), Teagan Roberts (husband, Brandon), and Madison Goode; her joys: great grandchildren, Waylon Sayers and Ryker James Radford; siblings, Billy Joe Cooper (wife, Elsie) and Donna Sue (Sissy) Shumate, who was also her lifelong best friend; brother-in law Ted Pendry Jr. (wife, Libby), sister-in-law Mary Easter (husband, Kenneth), brother-in-law Jim Pendry (wife, Colleen), and sister-in-law Drema Cooper. Linda also deeply loved her nephews Joey Cooper, Skip Easter, Tim Easter, Chuck Pendry, Larry Pendry, and Marshall Pendry, and nieces Kathy Cook, Leisa Jones, Tammy Easter, Christy McBride, and Wanda Cooper; and a host of great nieces and nephews. Linda's nephews will serve as pallbearers with great-nephews Darrell and Shawn Graham as honorary pall bearers.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton, West Virginia. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Directory Chapel with Pastor Paul Furrow officiating. Burial to follow in the Cooper Family Cemetery, Brenton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pisgah Community Church on Linda's behalf.

The Pendry family is being served by Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on Athens Road in Princeton.
