Linda Worrell Kidd, 76, of Princeton, died early Monday morning, December 16, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born April 14, 1948, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Vernal Rex Worrell and Sarah Frances Abshire Worrell.  Linda was a graduate of Spanishburg High School.  She had a long career with the West Virginia Department of Human Services, retiring after 35 years of service.  Linda was a faithful member of the Rich Creek Baptist Church, Spanishburg and was a great Prayer Warrior. While her health permitted, she loved working in her yard, doing crossword puzzles, but most of all, she loved her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Lee Hites and four step-brothers. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Stephen Michael Kidd; One son, Michael R. Kidd; One brother, Larry Rex Worrell; Her church family also survives.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 21, 2024, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Jamie Mattox officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the service time at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Cook, Kevin Cook, John Kidd, Donald Archer, James Archer, Ralph Simmons and Freddie Conner.
