Linda Sue Jones, 68, of Matoaka, died Saturday, May 30, 2026, at New River Valley Medical Center, Christiansburg VA.

Born September 1, 1957, in Mullens, she was the daughter of Loma Reed Adkins and the late Glen Adkins.

Linda was of the Christian Faith, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband David Lee Jones and a daughter Virginia Dawn Jones.

In her spare time, Linda loved working in her garden, raising her flowers, taking road trips, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children & spouses, Brandy & Tom Burchette, David A. Jones Jr. & companion Kaytie, Amanda Jones, Crystal & Thomas Asbury, Jerry Lopez & a granddaughter Savannah & Zach Shorter who she raised like a daughter. Grandchildren, Ashliegh & Jacob Mann, Briana & Tyler Farley, Travis Lopez, Katrina Lopez, Joey Rice, Rozzy Jones, Aiden Jones, Dakota Jones, Casey Carter, Kinsley Asbury, Gracie Asbury & Jada & Dakota Turpin, 11 great grandchildren, six siblings, Junior & Cynthia Adkins, Doris Adkins, David Adkins, Randal & Sharon Adkins, Sherry & Billy Beggs, Donnie & Tara Adkins along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 5, 2026, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Bobby Poore officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery in Matoaka. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the service time.
