Linda Carol Dunagan, 75, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at her son's home in Kernersville, NC. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Wright and Virginia Lena Phillips Wright. Her life exemplified her devotion, loyalty and love for her God, family and friends. To her family, she was affectionately known as Mom, MawMaw, Linny and, as a child, Buttons. She was a beloved member of Kernersville Wesleyan Church and served in many positions over the years. She retired from Carolina Hydraulics after 28 years of service and was honored with a plaque on the building for her commitment and loyalty, along with two other associates. She leaves behind her son Brent Dunagan (Sandy) of Kernersville, NC; two granddaughters, Trisha Weiss (Seth) of Kent, OH, and Kaitlyn Dunagan (Scott Bolick) of Kernersville, NC; and four great grandchildren, Ezra, Jude, Arwen and Lucy. Surviving siblings are Sandra Baker of Warsaw, KY, Alan Wright (Della) of Princeton, WV; David Wright (Diane) of Athens, WV, Charles Wright (Tammy) of Princeton, WV and Leonard Wright - whom she raised at age 11 - (Kathy) of Davidson, NC, along with numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and laughed with. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Arlo Dunagan, and her sister, Virginia Nelson, and her brother Carl Wright. A service to celebrate Linda's life will begin at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton, WV, with Pastor Don Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the Dunagan/Whitaker Cemetery on the family farm 3877 Halls Ridge Rd, near Princeton, WV. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the service hour. Pallbearers will be Aaron Mills, David Wright, Dustin Mills, Jason Nelson, Matthew Wright, Mike Cecil, Mike Evans and Ricky Seese. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com. The Dunagan family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
