Linda Davis, 72, of Princeton, died peacefully early Thursday morning, November 21, 2024, at her home with her loving family at her side. Born March 26, 1952, in Bluefield, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Alton Smith and Mollie Rosella Tabor Smith.
Linda had a long career with Sears (Mercer Mall), retiring as the manager of the Hardware Department she went on to work for Rescare. She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church on the New Hope Road in Princeton, where she was heavily involved with the Women's Mission Union at the local, state and nationals levels and also the Ladies Prayer Group. Linda was also a member of the choir and worked on various committees within the life of the church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother Larry Smith and brother-in-law Bill Estep.
Those left to cherish her memory, are her devoted husband of 52 years, Jerry Davis; Daughter, Kerri Johnson (Josh); Two grandchildren that she adored, Paige and Noah; Three siblings, Jeff Smith (Dianne), Gail Estep and Nancy Blankenship (Stanley); Sister-in-law Brenda Davis; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services celebrating the life of Linda Davis will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the Immanuel Baptist Church on New Hope Road in Princeton with Pastor Dr. Dan Jividen officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Skeens, Matt Collins, Keith Blankenship, Brad Cahill, Dr. Dan Jividen and Matt Smith.
