Leonard Eugene Long Sr., 93, of Princeton died Thursday evening, March 19, 2026, at the Lindside Healthcare Center. Born June 28, 1932, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Creed Long and Dora Mullins Long. Mr. Long was a retired logger and truck driver. In his spare time, he loved to trade horses, knives, cars and rings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Mary Lilly Long, a daughter Kathy Brinkley, and a brother Douglas Brinkley. Survivors include his son Leonard Eugene Long Jr. 2 grandchildren Brian & Eric, stepchildren, Dayton Brinkley (Georgia), Nita Brinkley, James Brinkley (Tammy), 12 Step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren. Two siblings, Betty Long and James Long. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
