It is with great sadness to share that Lauretta Diane (Wood) Bourdeau of Palm Coast FL and Itmann WV peacefully passed away in her home on August 1, 2025.

Diane graduated from Mullens High School in 1964. She had a fun-loving personality and was the life of the party and loved to dance. She was always up for an adventure, especially with her grandchildren. She was devoted wife, mother, sister, and Mimi. She loved her family more than anything in the world.

She had the gift of hospitality and giving. If there was a need in her family or community, she was there with a helping hand. She loved BIG!

She was proceeded in death by her father James Nathan "Red" Wood, mother, Mabel Louise Cline Wood, and brother Norman C. "Woody" Wood.

She is survived by her husband Gary Bordeau of Palm Coast, her sister Delena Wood Sparks (Tink), 2 daughters Angie Helgeson (Kevin) and Renee Haas (Steve), 4 grandchildren Colby Adamson (Kaily), Abigail Adamson, Kaylee Haas Stevens (Sawyer) and Kara Haas and 3 great grandchildren, Austin, Collins and soon to be Reed Adamson.

A beautiful person is gone, but heaven has gained another Angel.

The family will be welcoming friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Thursday August 14, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Directory & Cremation Center located at 654 Athens Road, Princeton, WV followed by a short graveside service with Pastors Larry Dyer and Blake Bivens officiating. The family invites friends directly following the service to a reception at the Chuck Mathena Center, 2 Stafford, Princeton WV.
