Larry Jackson Jones, 78, of Princeton, died Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Mercer Healthcare Center in Bluefield.

Born July 21, 1947, at Princeton (Hales Gap), he was the son of the late Feelmore Jackson Jones & Nelva Aretta Troutt Jones. Larry graduated from Princeton High School in 1965, he then entered the service, having served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

For many years, Larry lived in New York, where he was a contractor, specializing in woodworking and furniture restoration. He was very gifted with his woodworking talents.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Mina Feeley Jones, three siblings, Connie Jones Wells, Judy Jones Cotten, & Cecilia Jones Sampson.

Those left to cherish his memory, his daughter, Tina Renee Jones Hartwell & husband Shawn, grandson, Garrison Hartwell & wife Caitlin; Great grandson Casen Frederick Hartwell, three siblings, Shirley Jones Gills & husband John, Shelia Jones Bolin & husband Tim, & Barry Jones, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 8, 2026, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Dr. John King officiating, burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
