Lacey Arnold McManaway, 87, of Princeton, died peacefully Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at his home with his loving family by his side. Born May 30, 1935, in Pettry, he was the son of the late Coy Carl McManaway and Christie Caperton McManaway. Arnold was a retired timberman and logger. He will remembered by family and friends as a hard-working man. He loved his family first and foremost, enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being a handyman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children,  Lacey Wayne, a infant son and six brothers. Those left to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 67 years, Juanita Christine Thomas McManaway; Two children, Linda Peery (Pete), Curtis McManaway (Becky; Three grandchildren, Amanda Peery (Matt), Ryan McManaway (Danielle), Miranda McPherson (Jamie); Four great-grandchildren, Natalie and Nick Bailey, Lexie and Luke McManaway; Two siblings, Robert McManaway (Beverly) and Violet Taylor; Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 1, 2022, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor David Barnette officiating. Burial will follow in the McManaway Family Cemetery at Pettry.  Friends may visit with the family Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
