Karen Sue "Susie" James, 71, of Princeton, died Friday, December 26, 2025, at Heritage Hall, Rich Creek, VA. Born November 3, 1954, in Fredrick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Roy Baker & Shirley Grimes Baker. Susie was one of the first employees of Princeton Wal-Mart, she retired after 23 years of service.  She was of the Baptist faith. Susie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David W. James, along with two siblings, Brenda Bare & Terry Young, and a half-brother Jimmy Grimes. Survivors include her two sons, David W. James Jr & wife Jessica, Jeremy L. James & wife Jenni, three grandchildren, Caden James, Madison James & Brianna James. Three siblings, Beverly Toms, Chrissy Fultz & Valerie Baker. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 5, 2026, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Eric Stovall officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour. In Lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to American Diabetes Association P.O.
