Karen Fay Simms, 73, of Charleston, died peacefully early Saturday morning, September 7, 2024, at Mercer Healthcare Center in Bluefield. Born November 29, 1951, in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Simms & Alice Key Simms Jones. Karen was educated in Charleston; she had worked in several different places throughout the country. She spent her later years as a caregiver, helping the disabled and the elderly. Karen was a member of the Northside Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Terry Wayne along with five siblings: Russell, Roger, Debbie, Sandy & Terry Simms. Those left to cherish her memory, two sisters, Alana Taylor & Sherry Douglas, and a host of nieces & nephews, great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Northside Church of the Nazarene with inurnment to be in the Tyler Mountain Cemetery at Cross Lane.Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com
