Obituary

In the early morning hours of December 8, 2025, Joyce Marie Kendall of Bluefield WV was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Joyce is survived by her husband of 57 years – Randall Kendall; daughter Kimberly Graves and husband Brian; son Kevin Kendall and wife Wendy; granddaughter Kendall de Janasz and husband Alex; grandson Corey Kendall; granddaughter Ashley Hart and husband Jack; granddaughter by marriage Carley Andrews, husband Cody and son Palmer; granddaughter by marriage Leah Graves; sister Donna Carter; and brother John Hall and wife Lois.  She was preceded in heaven by her grandson Kevin Kendall Jr. (K.J.); sister Jean Smith; brother Edward Hall; and parents Roy and Marjorie Hall.

Joyce was born November 27, 1949, and lived a life full of love with a servant's heart.  Known for consistently caring for others and their needs, Joyce will be remembered for the care she gave others, the games and crafts with her children and grandchildren, and for always having a meal ready for anyone that might be hungry.  While Joyce did not seek formal leadership roles often in her life, her high standards, organizational skills, and ability to learn and adapt to any situation set her apart as a natural leader and example for others to follow and aspire to.

As the matriarch of her family, Joyce always had an ear willing to listen, a voice that seldom criticized, a faith that didn't waver, and a heart full of love.  Her presence is being celebrated in Heaven and will be remembered in the hearts of those that knew and loved her.

Services to celebrate the life of Joyce Marie Kendall will be held 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 12, 2025, at Maple View Church of Christ near Bluefield with Tony Reed officiating. Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the Kendall Family Cemetery in Braxton County with Eric Kendall speaking.  Friends may visit the family on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the church.

Memorial Gifts of love can be made to the Maple View Church of Christ, 194 Robin Rest Road, Bluefield WV 24701 or Amedisys Hospices, 545 Airport Road, Bluefield WV 24701
