Obituary

Joseph Alan Duncan, 43 of Princeton died on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at WVU Princeton Community Hospital with his family by his side. Born December 8, 1981 in Princeton he was the son of David and Janet Duncan. Joseph graduated from Pikeview High School in 2000.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents William E. and Hazel M. Duncan and his maternal grandmother, Marcia Darlene Jarrell. Joey, as he was affectionately known by his family, is survived by his parents, his brother, Matthew (Karis) Duncan, his sister, Laura (Bobby) Ramsey and three nephews he dearly loved, Logan Ramsey, Benjamin Ramsey and Eoin Duncan. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather Joseph Jarrell and several cousins, aunts and uncles.  A Private graveside service was held July 12, 2025 at the Bethel Cemetery with Pastor Jamie Mattox officiating. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com .  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joey's favorite charities: St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Paralyzed Veterans or the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. The family would like to say Thank You to Dr. William Bird and Dr. O. Sangodeyi and their nurses, Dr. Cutrone and nurse Beth and all of those who treated Joey over the years and Amedisys Hospice for their help in recent months and the comfort care nurses at Princeton Community Hospital.
