Obituary

Johnny Wayne Danieley, 75, of Princeton, died suddenly Friday evening, July 11, 2025, at his residence. Born October 27, 1949, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Virgil Thornton Danieley & Bernice Irene Danieley. Johnny was a lifelong resident, born, raised & educated in Mercer County. He attended Bluefield State College while working for Smith's Transfer, Bluefield. For 22 years, Consolidated Freightways, Wytheville VA for 8 years, Consolidated Motor Express, Bluefield, for 8 years and the (DHHR) Bureau for Public Health, working with the Children with special health care program in Princeton since 2005.

He attended Bethel United Methodist Church, in Princeton where he was baptized. He later moved his membership to Fairview Christian Community Church in 2002, where he served faithfully.  He truly loved his church family. Johnny enjoyed working in the yard, flowers/vegetable gardens, and mowing. He enjoyed hunting and fishing when time allowed. Johnny also enjoyed traveling, cruises, and the WV State Parks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother, Virgil Ray "Buddy" Danieley. Those left to cherish his memory, the love of his life, whom he met and married in 2002, they shared nearly 24 years of love and happiness, Ann Guthrie Danieley, a sister, Bonnie Danieley Lenehan, brother, James Larry Danieley & wife Sandy, sister in law, Mary Ellen Booth, and several nieces and nephews.

On Monday, July 21, 2025, at 1:00P.M., we will celebrate the life of Johnny Danieley in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Larry Dyer and Blake Bivens officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Monday from Noon until the service hour. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Cox, Anthony Mitchem, Sahwn Lenehan, David Wert, Charles Pentasuglia , & Danny Buckner.   Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com.  The Danieley family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
