Nov 15, 1960 — Jun 9, 2023
John Randall Vaught, 62, our beloved husband, dad, Pawpaw, brother and friend, was ushered to the arms of our loving Lord and Savior on Friday, June 9, 2023, in the comfort of his home. Born, November 15, 1960, in Princeton, John was the son of the late Laban Adriel Vaught, Jr., and Reba Elma Snow Vaught. He was a graduate of Spanishburg High School, and married the love of his life on October 29, 1983. John proudly served as a medic in the United States Army Reserve. He held a long career in convenience store management. John was a faithful member of the Lerona United Methodist Church where he served his community delivering "meals on wheels". Proof of a life well lived, John was a devoted husband, father, adoring grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. John loved Jesus and showed love and kindness to anyone he met. He never met a stranger and would have given the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was the hardest worker anyone had met and instilled those values in his children. He loved all things outdoors and was an avid gardener and could grow anything. John loved hunting and fishing and taught his children and grandchildren the same. His family was his world. John will leave behind memories filled with trips to New River to catfish, hunting family land and lots of family vacations with his whole family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Clyde E. Vaught, William I. "Bill" Gillespie, Roger A Vaught, Clarence David Gillespie and Jeannie Thomas. He will be g reatly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 40 years, Tess Vaught; Three children, Joseph Vaught and wife Angela, John Vaught and wife Samantha, Chelsa Malon and husband Christopher; Grandchildren, Brittany Vaught, Autumn and Matthew Carter, Joey and Maddie Vaught, John and Emily Vaught and Malaya and Miles Malon; Siblings, Pamela Farley and partner Don Nash, Sharon Johnson and husband Jon, Teresa Farley and husband Barry, Timothy Vaught and wife Tammy, Rodney Vaught and wife Nita, Valerie Willis and husband Kenny and Bonita Vaught; Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. We will celebrate the life of John Randall Vaught at 2:00 P.M., on Friday, June 16, 2023, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor David White officiating.
