John Grant Thomas, 70, of Eades Mill Road, Camp Creek, died Thursday, January 18, 2024, at WVU-Princeton Community Hospital. Born, November 13, 1953, in Oak Hill, WV, to the late Grant and Luanna Thomas. John grew up in the Oak Hill area where he worked in his family's theater, "Old King Theater". He loved music, his cats, and loved living in the Gorge near Camp Creek. John had worked as a cashier at Comac in Beckley with his dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Debra Sue Meadows Thomas, a brother, Larry Thomas and his best friend, Gary O'Neal. Left to cherish his memory are his step-children, Amy Beth McKinney (Michael), Ernest Rumery, Ivan Rumery and Zachary Howington; Five grandchildren, Dallas McKinney, Jordan McKinney, Mikey McKinney, Noah Roland and Vermillion Howington; Plethora of friends in the Beckley and Faytteville area.
