JoAnn Eades Knowles, 77. of Princeton, died peacefully Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Dogwood Crossing in Tazewell VA. Born August 28, 1946, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late William "Bill" W. Eades and Nalva Jo Wiley Eades. JoAnn graduated from Athens High School in 1963 and worked as a teacher's aid at Athens Elementary School for many years. She was a member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church in Princeton. In her spare time, JoAnn loved playing bingo, shopping at thrift stores, but most of all, she loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Lee Knowles and a son in law Kenneth "Andy" Anderson. Those left to cherish her memory, two children, Tina Anderson, Chuck Knowles and fiancé Niki Perdue all of Princeton. Private services were held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Dan Thyng officiating.
