Obituary

Jason Todd Lambert, 44, of Princeton, West Virginia went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 15, 2024.  He was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on October 22, 1979, to the late Roger and Judy Lambert.

Jason was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.  He graduated from Bluefield High School in 1998 and Bluefield State College in 2002.  He spent 21 years in retail management.

Jason was a member of The First Church of God in Bluefield, Virginia where he enjoyed working the sound system for the Sunday morning worship service. Jason loved to golf and reminisce about his days playing baseball, but most importantly, he adored his family.  Jason met his wife, Leslie, in middle school and after sharing a high school romance, they married at 25 years old. They spent over 31 years in each other's lives from knowing each other as best friends to a loving marriage.    They had their baby girl, Lauren Beth, when they were 29 years old. In the years following his daughter's birth, he devoted his life to being a family man. He never missed an opportunity to watch Lauren Beth play softball, where she proudly wears his number or an opportunity to watch her cheer.  Where Lauren Beth was is where you would find Jason.  Jason's personality was contagious.  He was known to keep everyone laughing, for his wit, and sincere heart.  Never meeting a stranger was his specialty because he always made friends wherever he went, and people enjoyed Jason's laughter.  He was the life of any gathering because people loved Jason for his easy-going ways and light-hearted nature.  He will be deeply missed by all who know him and his family is deeply saddened by the loss of this precious life.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 19 years, Leslie Lambert; daughter, Lauren Beth Lambert; siblings, Steven Lambert, Bruce Lambert, and Lori Smith all of Bluefield; father and mother in law, Lester and Roseanna Bratton of Bluefield; sister in law, Amanda Bratton of Bluefield; nieces Meagan Long, Tanleigh Smith, Madison Bratton, and Chloe Lambert; nephews, Corey Lambert, Tyler Lambert, Trevor Smith, Zachary Lambert, and Matthew Dinger; a host of special cousins who he considered to not only be family but also best friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 23 at 1:00 PM at The First Church of God at 303 Fincastle Lane, Bluefield, Virginia with the Rev. Virgil Green and Rev. David Lambert officiating the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Princeton, West Virginia.  Visitation will be on Sunday, September 22 from 4:00-7:00 at The First Church of God at 303 Fincastle Lane, Bluefield, Virginia.
