Janet Louise Looney, 79, of Village Green Circle, died Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Glenwood Healthcare Center. Born, June 24, 1944, in Richlands, VA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Frazier Brown and Virginia Fern Bandy Brown. Janet was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her Lord, her family, she really enjoyed cooking for those family gatherings, she also, enjoyed sewing and her flower garden. Janet was of the Methodist faith and worked for Leggett's. She and her husband were owners' and operators' of Looney Sales Heating and Cooling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Leola Timmons and Brenda Birchum. Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, James Richard Looney; Two daughters, Tina Lynch and husband Ronnie, Jr., Stephanie Looney; Three grandchildren, Emily Eskins, David Lynch and Devan McGonagle; Four great-grandchildren, Ava, Ryleigh, Toby and Braelyn; One brother, Randall Brown; Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
