James "Jimmy" Neil Tucker, 66, of Powell Mountain Road, Princeton, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born February 6, 1959, in Monroe, NC, he was the son of the late James Donald Tucker and Vida Mae Carter Tucker. He was a Master Carpenter, having worked in construction all of his life. James was very gifted, he designed and fabricated motorcycles, rebuilt old cars and tended to his chickens.  He enjoyed traveling, fishing, guns and was devoted to his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Donald Tucker, Gail Tucker, Wanda Wilson & Eric Tucker.

Those left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 49 years, Carol DiBernardo Tucker, five children, Desiree McNeil (Cullen), Jessica Tucker, Joshua Tucker (Mellixa), Kristin Tucker, Lindsey Jones (Christopher), 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren on the way,  one brother Thomas Tucker, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

In honoring Mr., Tucker's wishes, he has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on Saturday February 21, 2026 at 12:30 Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church in Waxhaw NC. Friends may visit from 11 AM until 12:15 at the church.
