James Michael "Mike" Belcher, 68, of Princeton, died Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born September 27, 1953, in Bluefield, he was the son of the late William H. "Bill" Belcher and Mary Ann Martin Belcher. Mike was a graduate of Athens High School and attended Bluefield State College. Mike had a long career working in the Mercer County Assessor's Office, retiring in 2015. After retirement, Mike helped out with flower delivery for Belinda's Flowers in Princeton. Mike will long be remembered for riding around the Princeton area in the little white van with his sidekick Roger driving and delivering flowers.  Mike was an active member of the Princeton Moose Lodge # 1521 & Mercer County Moose Lodge # 2718, where he had held various offices, he was honored by the Moose organization with a Fellowship Degree. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother Randolph "Randy" Belcher. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Bonita Wickline Belcher; A daughter, Jamie Belcher Vaughan; Two beautiful granddaughters, Jacelyn and Lillian Sisters-in-law, Belinda Pendleton (Ed) and Paulette Belcher; Three nieces, Michelle and Clark Gilbert and son Hudson, Stephanie Scott (Richard), Christina Belcher; Three aunts, Nancy Belcher, Ronell Martin and Ethel Nash (Frank); Several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 7, 2022, in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Roads in Princeton with Pastor Jim Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Athens Cemetery in Athens. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour. Serving as pallbearers will be Ernie Martin, Greg Martin, Mark Belcher, Ed Pendleton, Clark Gilbert and Norm Vaughan. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com .
