Jackie (Jack) Lee Delp, Jr., 51, of Peck Street, Princeton, died Friday, December 16, 2022, at Princeton Health Care on Courthouse Road in Princeton. Born, September 21, 1971, in Peru, IN, he was the son of Jackie Lee Delp, Sr and Debbie Southern Delp. Jack was a hard worker all of his life. He started truck driving at a early age with his father. He drove coast to coast while driving for Warner Trucking Company and also for Pepsi Bottling in Wytheville for 20 years. Jack was a loving father. One of his greatest joys in life were his two daughters Jayla and Maddie. He was very proud of the young ladies they were becoming. He was also proud of Elysha Meadows who was like his own daughter. Jack was especially excited about his 1 st grandson, Cameron. Just mentioning the names of his daughters or grandson would always bring joy and put a smile on his face and the stories would begin. Jack was a very personable and friendly person. He never met a stranger, was a big jokester and was also known for having the gift of "Gab". He loved riding his motorcycle and going 4-Wheeling with Maddie and his friends. J ack was always there for anyone who needed him. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Ann Delp. Left to cherish his memory including his parents, Jackie, Sr. and Debbie and his two daughters, Jayla Mackenzie Delp and Madison (Maddie) Brooke Delp; One grandson, Cameron Grey Edwards; One brother, Ben Delp (Jamie); Three sisters, Christine Dykes (Joey), Ciara Jones and Megan Bratton; His former wife and the mother of his children, Kerri Marquis; Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Jack Delp, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 22, 2022, from the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Glen Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be, David Marquis, James Lockhart, Paul Pilkins, Edward Pender, Chuck Johnson and Brian Simpkins. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com .
