Issac Edward Reed, 94, of Thorn Street, Princeton, died suddenly Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born February 15, 1932, in Oakvale, he was the son of the late Robert Edmondson Reed & Jabbie Emily Mayberry Reed. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Reed was a carpenter/electrician in construction for his entire life. He believed in feeding the hungry while operating a food pantry out of his home. Mr. Reed loved going to flea markets as well as having one at his home quite often. He was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Betty Price Reed, a daughter Rita Reed, granddaughter April Thomas, great-granddaughter Danielle Six along with 8 siblings: Ray, John, Lynnburg, Samuel, David Reed, Ethel Combs, Nancy White & Vestia Reed. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survivors include his three daughter, Donna Matthews, Shirley Thomas& Juanita Lynch, grandchildren, Diedre Blankenship, Kala Morgan, Missy Lopez, Daniel Six, Matthew Sisk, Zachary Sisk, Cassie Thomas, Chelsey Thomas & Gabriel Reed. His best friend Russell Walker. A host of great grandchildren and nieces & nephews. A service to celebrate the life of Issac Reed will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Friends may visit the family from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour.
