Iris Aileen Bowling, 89, of Princeton, died early Tuesday morning, September 23, 2025, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born April 20, 1936, in Northfork, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Clark & Virginia Hazel Basham Clark.

After graduating from high school in Pounds Virginia, her family relocated to Princeton, where she was employed at Maidenform Company.  Iris was a member of Kee Street United Methodist Church in Princeton.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a grandson Juston Thacker and a sister, Betty J. McMurdo.

Survivors include two sons, Greg Bowling & Michael Bowling, three grandchildren, Michael Wayne Bowling, Charles Scott Bowling, & Evangeline Sweeney & husband Delano, and several great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 26, 2025, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton with John Puckett speaking. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  Those wishing to attend the graveside service are requested to meet at the Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton by 10:45 A.M.
