Helen LouVenna Jones, 73, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026, due to illnesses at Bowers Hospice House with her family by her side. Born July 25, 1952, at Hinton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Hamm and Irene McBride Hamm. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved riding through mudholes and watching her great grandchildren swim. She loved spending time with her family. Helen was a member of the Roger Street Community Church; she loved her church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Marvin Jones and brother, Richard Hamm, stepson Michael Rumley. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Edna Combs, and husband, Wayne, Melissa Lewis and Friend Brian K Lewis, William Jones, and Marinda Odell, and Michael’s wife Albina; grandchildren, Heather Mitchell, and husband, Gene, Lee Lewis, and wife, Kristen, Brian F. Lewis, Chris Taylor, William Jones Jr., Alex Jones, and wife, Kendall, Brycen Jones, Aiden Jones; 14 great grandchildren; Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, 11:00am, at the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road, Princeton with Pastor Steve Pendleton officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am. Interment to follow in Jones Family Cemetery, Ingleside. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
