Harvey McClellan Stepp passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY surrounded by his wife, Diane Stepp, his daughters, Ashley Harvey and Deana Browning, son-in-law, Jay Browning and Grandson, Gunnar Browning. Harvey was born on December 20, 1944, at home in Mohawk, WV to the late Claude and Margaret "Peggy" Stepp. He had 11 brothers and sisters and is survived by sisters, Lucille Collins of Roanoke, VA and Millie (Chet) Blankenship of Mohawk, WV. Harvey will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Diane Stepp of Mohawk, WV. His daughters, Deana (Jay) Browning of Greenville, SC, Ashley (Chad) Harvey of Princeton WV, and Ciara Stepp. One grandson, Gunnar Browning of Greenville SC. There are no words to express how much he is loved and missed already. He will also be sadly missed by his step-children Judy (Tex) Cline of Peterstown WV, Delbert (Danielle) Justice of Hurley, VA, and Kevin (Nicole) Justice of Mohawk WV. He is also survived by 11 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren. Harvey graduated from Iaeger High School Iaeger, WV in 1963 and went on to become a Journeyman Ironworker in Cleveland, OH in July of 1973. He was an Ironworker for many years before starting a trucking company in 1984 and hauled coal for many years. Later, he returned to his career as an Ironworker. He also worked at Lester Mobile Homes in his retirement years. There will be a private family viewing before his cremation on Sunday, Dec.18 at Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton, WV. A memorial service/celebration of life service will be held in the Summer of 2023. At that service, his ashes will be placed in the Stepp Family Cemetery to which family and friends will gather to say goodbye. We will share stories of his life and celebrate a great man, son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and brother-in-law. He most enjoyed when his family gathered and celebrated together, so we would love to have all join us at that time. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com . The Stepp family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
