Harvey E. Shrader, 80, of Princeton died Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born January 4, 1942, at Camp Creek, he was the son of the late Claude Shrader and Bethel Brooks Shrader. Harvey loved the Lord, and was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a faithful member of Rogers Street Community Church. He was a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years, having worked for Patsy' Trucking and the West Virginia Parkway Authority. While his health permitted, Harvey enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Edward Shrader, Claudine Nelson, Elizabeth Jones, Joan Thornton, Woodrow Shrader and Walter Shrader. Those left to cherish his memory, are his loving and devoted wife, of nearly 60 years, Joyce Lafferty Shrader; Three children, Tammy Shrader and Robert Shumate, Pyatt "Sonny" Shrader and Darlene Taylor, Tracy Shrader and wife Karen; Siblings, Carolyn White, Dwight Eades and Mary, and Gloria Farley and husband Glen; G randchildren, Brandie, Brittani, Luke, Faith, Randy and John; Four great-grandchildren, Riley, Rebecca, Amiya and Saylor; His special four-legged friend, Bear; Several special nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Harvey Shrader will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 25, 2022, in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastors Steve Pendleton and Gene Pennington officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Wildwood, Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from Noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Shumate, John Maxey, Randy Maxey, David Shrader, Tracy Shrader and Sonny Shrader. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com .
