Hallie June "Punk" Crockett, 91, of Princeton, died peacefully Monday, May 15, 2023, at Ridge Care Assisted Living. Born, June 12, 1931, in Lerona, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Cox and Ora Pearl Lilly Cox. Punk was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her Lord and while her health permitted, she was an active member of the East Main Street Church of Christ in Princeton. Punk was a graduate of Athens High School and had worked for Maidenform. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 69 years, Howard B. Crockett and six siblings and two half-brothers. Punk was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Linda Sue Hall and husband Chuck; Two loving grandchildren and their spouses, Hillary Celeste and Dr. Chad Williams, Dr. Jonathan Russell and Dr. Bethany Hall; Four loving great-grandchildren, Logan Michael Williams, Juliet Rose Hall, Victoria Grace Hall and Elisabeth Clare Hall; Several loving nieces and nephews also survive. A service to celebrate the life of Hallie Crockett will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 19, 2023, in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Gary Durham officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the serve hour at the funeral home.
