Glenna Jane Hill Clark was born October 13, 1928, in Princeton, to the late Charles Lee and Jessie R. Turner Hill. She passed away peacefully Saturday, July 27, 2024, after a sudden decline in her health. She was only 95 years of age. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jackson D. "JD" Clark of 70 years, great-grandson Carson Clark, four brothers, Kyle Lee Hill, Houston Hill, Max Hill and Lewis Hill along with two sisters, Alleen French and Elizabeth Broyles. Glenna graduated from Princeton High School in 1946 and attended WV Business College. She was a former employee of Celanese Corporation and retired from Mercer County Board of Education with 21 years of service. She was currently a member of Carr Memorial Global Methodist Church and Mercer County Association of Retired School Employees. Glenna is survived by her son Jeffrey Clark and wife Cathy; Grandchildren Corey Clark and Courtney Clark Hill; Three great grandsons, Jackson Clark, Remy Hill and Rhoen Hill all of Princeton. Glenna is leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity and strength. Services to celebrate her homegoing will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 5, 2024, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Gerald Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from Noon until the service hour. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
