Glen Wayne Whittaker, 74, of Inglevalley Road, Princeton, died Friday, December 2, 2022, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born, December 7, 1947, in Princeton, he was the son of the late Walter Frazier Whittaker and Violet May Holdren Whittaker. Glen graduated from Princeton High School then went on to serve his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict during 1968 to 1969. He was a heavy equipment mechanic. Glen was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Clarence Herman Whittaker, Ralph Curtis Whittaker, Walter Frazier Whittaker, Jr., Bertie Jennie Lee Crews Geordon, Gloria Remona Ellis, Lloyd Lewis Whittaker, Franklin David Whittaker, Basil Aregone Whittaker, Ruth Ilean Atkins, Jeremiah Kenneth Whittaker, Julene Sexton, Delbert Eugene Whittaker and Donzie Ray Whittaker. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Linda Taylor Whittaker; Four children, Glen Whittaker, Jr (Ann), Michael Whittaker, Angela Whittaker and Eric Whittaker (Sonja); Two siblings, Gail King and husband Bill and Danny Whittaker and wife Kathy; Grandchildren, Jessica Powell (Chance), Erica Whittaker (Travis Baker), Elijah Whittaker (Brianna), Ezra Whittaker (Alli); Great-grandchildren, Brylan Glen, Caleigh Taylor, Ansleigh Grace Powell, Andrew the father of Jason, Kaiden and Bentley Burdette, Journey Rain, Ivy Rose Whittaker, Micah and Violet; S ister-in-laws, Carol Whittaker and Shirley Whittaker; Brother-in-law, Arnold Sexton; Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive whom he dearly loved. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Glen Whittaker will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with his brother, Danny Whittaker officiating. Burial with military rites will be provided by the Army National Guard at the Whittaker Family cemetery near his home. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers, Ronnie Bowling (Vietnam Veteran and friend), Timmy, Billy, Alvin and Teddy Taylor and Robert Lambdin (who were his brothers).
