Gilbert Roland McCartney, Sr., 57, of Carswell Hollow Road, Kimball, died Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born, February 20, 1965, he was the son of the late Boyd McCartney and Dorothy Howard McCartney. Gilbert was a loving husband, son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, loved football, watching westerns and NASCAR. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 20 years, Laura Lawrence McCartney; Five children, Gilbert "Rocky" McCartney, Jr and wife Joanna, Shelia Pulliam and husband Timothy, Christopher Clower, Alexis Clower and husband Billy Tiller and Christopher McCartney; One sister, Teresa Powell and husband Jeff; Nine grandchildren; Special nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
