Gary Wayne Bandy, 53 of Brushfork WV, departed on a new journey August 7, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents, Ronnie and Shelby Bandy, one sister Darlene Luster, one brother David Bandy, sister-in-laws Rhonda (Skeeter) Simpson, and Tonda Jennelle, Brother-in-law Arnold (Shorty) Luster , and nephew Aaron Bandy. Those left to keep his memory alive include his wife, Donna Hanlin-Bandy, Son Derek (Tiffani) Bandy of Narrows, Son Timothy(Chrisann) Hanlin of Montcalm; Daughter Danielle Hanlin of Brushfork, Daughter Stepheny Hanlin of Brushfork, Brother Ronald(Kathy-BB) Bandy of Princeton; Mother and Father-in-law Lawrence and Judy Dyson of Brushfork; Brother-in-law Willie (Cindy) Irvin of Abbs Valley, Brother-in-law Junior(Gretta) Clower of Montcalm; Son-in-law Curtis Bowden of Brushfork; Grandchildren include Mary Graham, Ava Mangus, Brady Mangus, and his Popaw's Boy Carlin Hanlin. He also had a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. One special niece that he helped raise Cheyanne Simpson, and one that was always there Nevaeh Riggs. His all time side-kicks are Carlin (Fatboy) Hanlin and Cheyanne (Moe) Simpson. He had many special friends in his life including his boss that was more of a best friend Monty Coppola, Terry Mullins, Kevin Dockstader, Clayton Hale and many others. He was a long-time employee of Coppola Construction/Brushfork Recycling. He enjoyed going on vacations many times a year, and Myrtle Beach was his home away from home. He enjoyed watching TV in his down time and doing anything his "fatboy" wanted to do. He will be greatly missed by many. When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. The family has honored his wishes he has been cremated. Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday , September 6, 2023, Glenwood Park Shelter #9 with family and friends speaking. Everyone is welcome. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com. The Bandy family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
