Garland Edward Ragan, 90 of Walsenburg, CO, formerly of Harmon School Road, Princeton, died peacefully, Wednesday, January 25, 2023, with his family by his side.  Born April 28, 1932 in Lowe, WV, he was the son of the late Clay and Virginia Ragan. Garland served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He loved his family, hunting, fishing and enjoyed the outdoors. Garland retired from Bluefield Supply Company and Noland Corporation as a Warehouse Manager. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife  of 57 years, Lillian; his siblings, Betty, Hazel, Bobby, and David, and a daughter-in-law Sharon Meadows. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted son and caregiver, Gregory "Greg" Garland Ragan and Natalie of Walsenburg, CO; Step-children, Ralph Lee Meadows Jr. and companion Melanie of Williamsville, VA, Lillian Ann Arthur and husband Steve of Eloy, AZ; Seven grandchildren, Tanner Clay Ragan, Jenny Mishoe (Chris), Ralph Meadows III, Stephanie Shropshire (Mark), Joe Meadows, Julie Maley (Donnie), Gerald "Trey" Hedrick III (Cynthia), Nine great-grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Garland Ragan will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, February 3, 2023, from the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with John Puckett officiating. Burial with military graveside rites provided by the Air Force Honor Guard will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
