Fred W. Dudley Jr., 90, of Princeton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior early Thursday morning, December 19, 2024, at his home with his loving family by his side.

Born February 21, 1934, in Crystal, he was the son of the late Fred W. Dudley Sr. and Maggie Jessup Dudley.

For 13 years, Mr. Dudley worked in the Shipyard in Delaware, upon returning to West Virginia, he was a welder for Norfolk-Western Railroad and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with 25 years of service. Mr. Dudley was devoted to his family, and loved working outside, especially in his yard. Fred proudly served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.  He loved his country.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a daughter, Vicki Blizzard, a great-granddaughter, Macey Whittaker and 6 siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 68 years, Mona Miller Dudley; Two children, Rhonda Barber and husband Albert "Buddy", Fred W. Dudley III and wife Alisa; Six grandchildren, Benjamin Barber, April Beard, Aimee Bolton (Jeff), Jessica Gleason, Andrew Dudley (Monica), Emilie Whittaker (Garrett); Eleven great- grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In honoring the life of Fred W. Dudley, a homegoing service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 23, 2024, in the Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Greg Kinzer officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.  Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. His family will be serving as pallbearers. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorial gift can be made to the Liberty Baptist Church Bus Fund, 260 Windy Hill Drive, Princeton, WV 24739 or Amedisys Hospice, 545 Airport Road, Suite 201, Bluefield, WV  24701.
