Frances Rebecca Bolton, 84, of Princeton, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Carilion-Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born March 12, 1942, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Pilgrim Roberts & Vennie Wagoner Roberts.

Frances was a member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church on Halls Ridge Road in Princeton. She served faithfully at her church telling the children about Jesus for 54 years. She also impacted many families’ lives through years of babysitting. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Frances loved to cook, work in her garden, and sew. She spent most of her life taking care of family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 60 years, James R. Bolton, four children, Rebecca Johnson (Matthew), Russell Bolton (Kim), Ruth Teague (Michael), Mary Robinson (Jerry), 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, three siblings, Ella Mae Worrell (Larry), Eddie Roberts (Joan), & Mary Ann Fowler along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for the family will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2026 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastor Dan Thyng & Dr. John King officiating. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton by 11:45 a.m.

There will be a Memorial Service at Johnston Chapel on Halls Ridge Road in Princeton on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 2:00 P.M.
