Eugene Kendall Jones, 77, of Princeton, died Friday, May 27, 2022, at CAMC in Charleston. Born June 28, 1944, in Delbarton, he was the son of the late Bernie Jones & Ochel Lycans Jones.

Eugene attended Iaeger High School, following high school, he worked in the family business known as Jones & Spry Grocery in McDowell County. He was a former coal miner having worked with Olga Coal Company. He then moved to Melbourne FL., where he lived for several years prior to moving back to West Virginia. While his health permitted, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and watch football. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Those left to cherish his memory, his two children, Angel Stanton & husband Wes of Moseley VA, & Jason Kendall Jones of Princeton. Two grandchildren which were the apple of his life, Hannah & Harper, along with a host of nieces and nephews. The family has honored his wishes, he has will be cremated with no services.
