Etta Jean Rhodes, 85, of Princeton, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, October 17, 2023, at her home. Born March 13, 1938, at Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of the late Kelly Householder and Letha Hawvermale Householder. Mrs. Rhodes was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School. She retired from GTE as an Administrative Secretary. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Princeton. While her health permitted, she enjoyed baking and sewing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six siblings. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include her husband Robert Larry Rhodes, a son Robert "Bob" Rhodes and wife Summer; Two grandchildren, Natalie and Ainsley Rhodes. A family graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 20, 2023, at the SW Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin VA with Pastor Michael Rexroad officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The Rhodes family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
