Ethel Louise Belcher Nash, age 90, of Princeton, WV passed away on March 14, 2026. She was born on October 6, 1935, in Athens, WV to McHerschel and Birdie Ethel Belcher. Ethel graduated from Concord Training School and was co-owner of Princeton Supply Company for over fifty years.
On June 13, 1953, Ethel married Frank Nash in Tazwell, VA. Together they built a life centered around family, business and service to the Mercer County Farm Bureau organization.
Ethel served on the Women's Committee for the Mercer County, the West Virginia and the American Farm Bureau for many years. She was the only woman from West Virginia to be elected to the American Farm Bureau Women's Committee. Ethel also was a member of the Daughter's of American Revolution. She faithfully donated to several organizations and charities including St. Jude's, Union Mission, Salvation Army & Wounded Warriors Project.
Ethel, most affectionately known as Nana, enjoyed traveling, her flowers, decorating for holidays and everything involving her grand & great-grandchildren. Nana was proud of her 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and loved to spoil them in everything that she did. You never left Nana's house hungry or feeling unloved.
She was preceded in death by both parents and 3 siblings; Frances, Bill and Milton Belcher. In addition to her husband of 72 years, Frank Nash, she is survived by her three children; Vicky Nash Shaw (Wayne), Tim Nash (Kathy) and Christopher Nash (Janie), 8 grandchildren; Cheryl Myers (Derrick), Lisa Nash, Lindsey Nash, Michael Nash (Christy), Aaron Nash (Kayla), Kristen Nash, Levi Nash (Jenna), and Luke Nash (Preslie), and 10 great-grandchildren; Peyton Myers, Melody Nash, Marshall Baker, Oliver Nash, Anakin Nash, Cordelya Baker, Brylee Bales, Hunter Nash, Mason Nash and Eloise Nash (Ethel's namesake).
A visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Directory on Athen Road from 5-7pm on Tuesday, March 17th. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 18th at 11am at the funeral home, to be immediately followed by graveside services at Resthaven Cemetery in Princeton.
The following will serve as pallbearers: son Chris Nash, grandsons Michael, Aaron, Levi and Luke Nash, and great-grandson Peyton Myers.
